The first day of spring brought bright sunshine to the Spring Flower Show at the botanical gardens. All of the plants that had been tight buds a week ago , at the beginning of the show, were now full blooms enjoying the light.
Janis Nussbaum Senungetuk is a visual artist and art business consultant in the Madison Wisconsin area. She specializes in floral photography using the natural light of the garden setting. Her images, filled with light and vibrant, translucent colors and textures, capture the beauty and sunshine of the garden and farmers market. Her work has been honored by the City of Madison, Madison Arts Commission Signature Grant Award in 2007-2008 and by a solo exhibit in the Office of the Lt. Governor of Wisconsin, Wisconsin State Capitol, Madison, Wisconsin in 2009. Most recently, one of her images was selected for the Dane Arts 2023 calendar.
